Finally tried this place after wanting to for awhile and man, it did not disappoint! Pros: - Loved the atmosphere and vibes in general - Staff were very attentive and knowledgeable - Food was excellent - everything we had was great but the stracciatella and the fried chicken were the standout dishes for us. Cons: - Price point is on the high side - expect to pay over $50 pp especially if you are having drinks. - I also wish they allowed bookings - currently they only allow walk ins only which makes it difficult to plan your night. Would definitely be keen to come back though!

Outstanding from the moment we walked through the door - or perhaps even before, chatting with patrons and their furry friends enjoying the early evening air, Beaufort Street slowly coming alive for the night. Greeted inside by Kate and her flowing dance moves, we took a seat by the front window to peruse the drinks and food menu. The setting sun threw romantic visuals of shadow and light through the shades, smoothly transforming the bar to a dark and timeless atmosphere, reminiscent of decades past. The impressive, curated drinks menu featured many temptations to suit all tastes, from sweet and refreshing cocktails, and a personal recommendation of the Hayman's sloe gin with an orange twist on the rocks. Your perfect after-work haunt for summer. The crispy roast duck cigars with pickled raisin makes for a delicious appetiser, at $9 each, perfectly sized for one per person. The ricotta gnocchi with cheese, pepper and spicy tomato, is a light dinner option packed with flavour, a fair size for sharing between two at $34. If you've been dreaming of the perfect place to enjoy an intimate dinner and drinks for two, Bar Rouge is the best kept secret for locals and travellers afar. We will definitely be returning to explore the upstairs restaurant and tick off the remainder of the cocktail list over the summer, and can't wait to cosy up there during the colder months. Do yourself a favour by discovering the sultry vibes of Bar Rouge.

Was passing and went in for one drink, ended up staying 2 bottles of wine later, the food was exceptional so tasty and delicious, and the staff so so amazing, def a go to place on Fri and sat nights

Shhhh don't tell anyone how good it is ... want to make sure we can always get in. Good service, music, drinks and awesome food ... just like their other venue Le Rebelle..thanks for opening up in my neighbourhood

Came in at 11 expecting the kitchen to be closed but it was still open! The staff were very accommodating to our late order. We ordered a few entrees to share between the two of us and were stuffed. Our fave was the anchovies and Parmesan pastry followed by the goats curd. The carpaccio was a bit too salty other than that everything else was nice and fresh. It is definitely on the pricer side, all of the things in the photo + 2 prawn toast was 150$

One of my new favourite places in Perth. Stopped off because we found it by chance, an excellent cellar and beautiful ambiance. We intend to go back for a longer stay!

Oysters were 10/10 best we've had in years, Saganaki cheese is the perfect mix of nostalgia and gourmet, prawn lobster rolls were yum and the toasted brioche bun took it up a notch above the rest. Steak was alright. The service was excellent, this team are really good at what they do and should give a master class for the team next door at Lotus.
